Les Cheneaux School Board

My current and most recent professional background includes working the past five years as the Executive Assistant at the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation. Working with regional partners, we encourage economic growth and help strengthen the region by investing in opportunities that create jobs and maintain existing local businesses.

I pride myself in being a creative and critical thinker and I believe that my skills in communication and strategic planning can contribute to the success of the School Board.

I am a strong advocate for collaboration and open communication, and I am confident in my ability to work effectively with other board members, school administrators, teachers, and parents to address the unique needs for our underserved community.

Community Impact:

  • Bingo Volunteer for the Hessel School House - who knew watching others playing bingo would be this much fun?

  • St. Ignace Area Arts Council Board Member - appointed in 2025.

More About Me

Did you grow up in Cedarville?

No, I actually grew up in St. Ignace but I came to Cedarville every summer and spent much time at a family cabin on Lakeside Road. My Dad grew up in Cedarville and is a proud Trojan ( was crowned prom King!) and my daughter, Amelia graduated with the class of 2026! My two boys Peter (9th grade) and Briar (1st grade) also attend Les Cheneaux Schools.

What do you like most about LCCS?

I love the thoughtful care and attention the staff and teachers give my kids. Not only do they keep them safe every day, they are also preparing them for their futures. LCCS does an amazing job offering a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including robotics, drama, band, and many different sports that engage and inspire students.

What are your concerns?

I would say my largest concerns are much like those I hear from others: our student and staff numbers are declining, and if that trend doesn’t reverse our community will suffer. With the recent school bond approval, LCCS has addressed many infrastructure and asset needs, but we must do more to encourage families to move to and put down roots in the Les Cheneaux area.
